Aussies lead the way in golf too…

It has been a good day for the Australian contingent over the last couple of days. The cricketers are seemingly in control in the Ashes, and Richard Green, also of Australia, grabbed the Scottish Open lead after one round.

Green hit a seven under par 64 for a one stroke lead, with out of form Australian, Adam Scott, a few shots further back on five under. Scott is currently eight under par and in a share of second place with Marcus Fraser (another Aussie), one shot adrift of Retief Goosen (he’s South African, phew!).

It’s shaping up as a bit of a classic so far, let’s hope the British hopes can warm up in style for the Open next week.
